Tadalafil was developed by Eli Lilly and was approved in 2003 to treat erectile dysfunction (also called impotence). Beside Sildenafil and Vardenafil it belongs to the class called PDE5 inhibitors to increase the blood flow to blood vessels of the penis and helps gain and sustain an erection. It has to be taken only when needed, about 60 minutes before sexual intercourse and lasts for about 48 hours. Due Tadalafil affects the blood-pressure and heart frequency it is not suitable for men with heart issues or with an age of more than 65.
